Israel Should Be Held Accountable for Committing War Crimes

Israel broke the truce with Hamas in November.  Do not believe the Israeli propaganda that Hamas broke the truce.  NOT TRUE!

Israel launched a war of aggression against the Palestinians in Gaza.

Since 2002 Israel has killed 2700 citizens of Gaza.

Children are denied basic needs; food, water, medicine, electricity, education.

George E. Bisharat writes in the Wall Street Journal:

Israel’s current assault on the Gaza Strip cannot be justified by self-defense. Rather, it involves serious violations of international law, including war crimes. Senior Israeli political and military leaders may bear personal liability for their offenses, and they could be prosecuted by an international tribunal, or by nations practicing universal jurisdiction over grave international crimes. Hamas fighters have also violated the laws of warfare, but their misdeeds do not justify Israel’s acts.

The United Nations charter preserved the customary right of a state to retaliate against an “armed attack” from another state. The right has evolved to cover nonstate actors operating beyond the borders of the state claiming self-defense, and arguably would apply to Hamas. However, an armed attack involves serious violations of the peace. Minor border skirmishes are common, and if all were considered armed attacks, states could easily exploit them — as surrounding facts are often murky and unverifiable — to launch wars of aggression. That is exactly what Israel seems to be currently attempting.

  1. You ignore the rockets sent into Israel. You ignore the attempt to kidnap another IDF soldier – caught in the act, the terrorists were killed.

So how is it that you say Israel broke the cease fire? They were to ignore the other side’s breaking it?

Tell me, which side teaches their children to hate? Which side is it that drops leaflets to warn non-combatants? Which side is it that makes phone calls to warn people of an attack in their neighborhood? Which side purposefully targets civilians with suicide bombs?

You answer those, then feel free to ask me questions . . . maybe we can talk?

  2. Those phone calls and leaflets are part of the terror that Israel inflicts on the Palestinians. Can you imagine getting a phone call in the middle of the night that your home will be bombed in ten minutes? You have just ten minutes to decide where to safely take your family. But wait, there is no safe place because Israel has squeezed 1.5 million people in a very small area with little food, water, electricity or medicine and bombs dropping and being launched from every direction.

Which side teaches children to hate, you ask? That would be Israel, teaching the Palestinian children to hate. Wouldn’t you hate the occupying force that stole your home, your livelihood, starved and prevented you from receiving basic medical services then forced you into a ghetto with no hope at a normal life?

I don’t know anything about the attempted kidnapping of an IDF soldier but if he stayed on his side of the border instead of terrorizing Gaza he wouldn’t have to worry about his safety.
